Jessica Juarez speaked on:

  • Filing for Unemployment Benefits with the EDD and Resources for Essential Workers.
  • Additional Federal Unemployment Benefits under the CARES Act.

Theodore E. Bacon speaked on:

  • The Families First Coronavirus Response Act–Paid Sick Leave and temporary changes to the Family medical Leave Act
  • Operating as an “essential business” as exceptions to the shelter at home orders, keeping workers safe and getting them paid under the SBA’s Payroll Protection Program.

Jessica Juarez focuses her practice on two substantive areas of the law: representing children and their families who have suffered catastrophic personal injury and employees in all areas of employment law. Jessica works for employees to recover their unlawfully withheld wages and to ensure that all workers are able to enjoy their workplace rights. She began her work as an attorney in the employment class action context and continues to work in this area, along with single and multi-plaintiff matters. Jessica is a native Spanish speaker and is passionate about working for the most vulnerable members of our society.
